In Adults:

- One ear feels blocked or full

In Children:

- Sitting very close to the TV

Treatment Options for Hearing Loss
Treatment depends entirely on the type and cause of your hearing loss.
The same symptom, muffled hearing, can require surgery in one patient and a hearing aid in another. Correct diagnosis always comes first.
Medical Treatment
Conductive hearing loss caused by infection, ear wax, or Eustachian tube dysfunction often responds to medicines.
Sudden sensorineural hearing loss is treated separately with oral or injected steroids if the patient seeks help within 72 hours of onset. This is why sudden one-sided hearing loss is a medical emergency.
